The user can manage the monitoring process by an IP Network Camera with a Web browser or with video management software. Defined as the combination of camera and computer that captures and sends live video over an IP network, some IP network cameras come with a built in web server in operation as a stand-alone unit and only need a connection through a wired or wireless means.

To monitor the parking area where many employees leaves their cars and to prevent them from car theft many business companies use an IP Network Camera especially when it is dark. For easier connection the use of a wireless network is sometimes preferable especially true of businesses to connect the network from one building to the other.

Not only limited to businesses in order to monitor activity on their property, many homeowners concerns with the security are investing in IP Network Camera IP  with computers.

Several questions should be answered before making decision to purchase IP Network Camera and to ensure a functional solution that will meet the needs as follows : Application Requirements, Lighting variance, Environmental Requirements, Source of Camera power, Network considerations, Surveillance monitoring / recording requirements, Integration requirements

From application view the four sides perimeter should be covered by the IP Network Camera for home requirement are one indoor cameras at front entrance and car port to monitor who comes or goes, one indoor cameras in the kitchen, one indoor cameras in the kid room and one outdoor cameras for outside monitoring.

For the best flexibility a low flux rated indoor camera will be considered, and an Outdoor with infrared illuminator will be required for the area have little to no lighting source. A weatherproof enclosure with heating and cooling camera will be required for IP Network Camera.

The mounting place for IP Network Camera power source is usually 120 volt, ac, but when there is no facilities a camera with POE (power over Ethernet) could be considered.

802.11 g wireless is available for most of network cameras, this could be considered to install for enable connectivity to the IP Network Camera.
